How this site handles information, in plain language. In short: no accounts, no analytics and no tracking, just what you choose to send me.

Who I am

This website is run by Disha Shah, working as Vanya Studio, an independent brand and product design practice based in India. In this policy, “I”, “me” and “my” mean Disha Shah / Vanya Studio, and “this site” means this website.

What this site collects

I keep this as little as possible. This site has no user accounts, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking scripts, and I don’t set cookies myself.

The information I do receive comes from you or from your browser:

  • What you choose to send me. If you book a call, email me or message me on social media, I receive what you share: typically your name, email address, company, role and the details of your project or question.
  • Technical information. Like any website, the hosting provider processes your IP address, browser type and the pages you request in order to deliver the site and keep it secure.

Services this site relies on

To work, this site loads a few things from other providers. They receive technical information such as your IP address when your browser requests them, and their own privacy policies apply:

  • Cloudflare hosts and secures the site.
  • Google Fonts serves the Geist typeface.
  • jsDelivr delivers two open-source animation libraries (GSAP and Lenis).
  • Cal.com provides the booking calendar. It loads when you scroll near the bottom of a page. Cal.com collects what you enter when booking and may set its own cookies. See cal.com/privacy.
  • LinkedIn, Instagram and X are linked from the site. Nothing is shared with them unless you click through, and then their policies apply.

Browser storage

The site uses your browser’s session storage for two small things: remembering that you have already seen the opening animation, and smoothing the transition between pages. This contains no personal information and is cleared when you close the tab.

How I use your information

I use what you send me to reply to your message, schedule and run calls, prepare proposals and, if we work together, deliver the work and manage the relationship. I don’t sell your information, and I don’t use it for marketing unless you ask me to.

Who I share it with

Only with the tools and providers I need to do the above, for example my email, calendar and file-sharing tools, and Cal.com for bookings. I may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long I keep it

I keep enquiries and project correspondence for as long as it’s useful for our relationship or needed for legal, tax or accounting reasons. After that I delete it. You can ask me to delete it sooner.

Your rights

You can ask me what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, ask me to delete it, or withdraw consent you’ve given. Depending on where you live, laws such as India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the EU and UK GDPR or US state privacy laws may give you further rights. Email [email protected] and I’ll respond as soon as I can.

Security

I take reasonable steps to protect the information I hold, such as using reputable providers and restricting access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so I can’t guarantee absolute security.

Children

This site is for businesses and professionals and isn’t aimed at anyone under 18. I don’t knowingly collect information from children.

Where information is processed

The providers above may process information in countries other than your own, including India and the United States.

Changes to this policy

If I change how the site handles information, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.

The Complexity Gap

You know the product and industry inside out. The people buying or using it bring different levels of knowledge and experience. The work is in making that complexity manageable throughout the product—helping beginners get started, supporting people as their needs grow, and giving experts the depth and control they need.

The Retention Gap

Getting someone to try a product is one thing. Becoming part of their day-to-day workflow is another. That comes down to how well it helps them do their job—how naturally it fits into their work, how much easier it makes important tasks, and whether it gives them a reason to keep using it.

The Growth Gap

The business moves forward, but the experience doesn’t always keep up. The story reflects an earlier stage, the website struggles with new content, and the product feels different depending on where you are. Growth, engineering, business, and design teams spend more time explaining, fixing, and working around the gaps. It gets frustrating for everyone.
