About

Geosynthesis is a strategic advisory firm working across geopolitics, public policy, and political economy. The project covered brand identity, website, and pitch deck, with supporting graphics and materials.

Challenge

The firm needed to communicate complex advisory work to CXOs, diplomats, and institutional leaders. Its expertise had to come through clearly, with a visual identity that felt credible in those settings and distinctive to Geosynthesis.

Outcome

A consistent way to present the firm’s expertise across its website, pitch deck, and supporting materials. Custom infographics make complex ideas easier to follow, while a jigsaw cube motif gives visual form to the firm’s work: connecting geopolitical, policy, and economic signals into insight.

The restrained identity holds those elements together, giving the team a visual language they can extend across presentations, digital communications, and print.

Introduction

Geosynthesis' brand was designed for an audience of CXOs, diplomats, and law-enforcement leadership, so the direction was intentionally minimal, structured, and corporate, with a strong emphasis on clarity and credibility.

The logo was developed as a wordmark-led identity, aligned with both the client’s preference and industry conventions followed by similar advisory firms. The focus was on legibility, authority, and longevity.

The color palette balances calm tones with bold, vibrant accents, allowing the brand to feel modern while maintaining the composure expected in institutional environments.

A key part of the project was building a distinctive visual language for digital graphics. The jigsaw cube motif became central to the brand story, representing synthesis — connecting fragmented geopolitical, policy, and economic signals into clear insight.

Custom infographics and brand graphics were designed for the website and pitch deck, helping communicate complex ideas visually while keeping the experience distinctive to the Geosynthesis brand.

The scope included brand identity, brand stationery, brand guidelines, website, and pitch deck, with careful attention to how the brand is experienced consistently across digital and physical touchpoints.

The Complexity Gap

You know the product and industry inside out. The people buying or using it bring different levels of knowledge and experience. The work is in making that complexity manageable throughout the product—helping beginners get started, supporting people as their needs grow, and giving experts the depth and control they need.

The Retention Gap

Getting someone to try a product is one thing. Becoming part of their day-to-day workflow is another. That comes down to how well it helps them do their job—how naturally it fits into their work, how much easier it makes important tasks, and whether it gives them a reason to keep using it.

The Growth Gap

The business moves forward, but the experience doesn’t always keep up. The story reflects an earlier stage, the website struggles with new content, and the product feels different depending on where you are. Growth, engineering, business, and design teams spend more time explaining, fixing, and working around the gaps. It gets frustrating for everyone.
