Disha Shah

I’m Disha Shah, a brand and experience designer.

I work across branding, products, and websites. I’m interested in how people come to understand a business, what makes them choose it, and what happens once they start using what it offers.

I’m happiest when there’s a lot to untangle. A technical product, an unfamiliar industry, a website that’s grown in several directions. I like getting into the subject, asking questions, and understanding how the pieces relate before deciding what to make.

That curiosity takes me across different kinds of work. Sometimes I’m helping a founder find the story that makes their business easier to explain. Sometimes I’m working through a product’s flows and interactions, or designing and developing a website. Other times, I’m building the system that helps a team keep all of it consistent.

I work closely with founders, engineers, and business and go-to-market teams. Understanding what each person is trying to achieve is part of the work. It helps me connect the broader direction with the details people will actually read, see, and use.

Since 2019, I’ve worked with teams across 15+ countries—from startups and family businesses to global studios and enterprise teams. My experience includes work with YC- and Accel-backed companies and organisations including Deloitte, Tata Group, and UN Volunteers, both directly and through studio collaborations.

A little more about the work

Websites, from first launches to enterprise scale

A substantial part of my practice is designing and developing websites for businesses as they grow. I work with Framer, Webflow, and Sanity with Next.js, from landing pages and 5–8-page sites to enterprise websites with multiple CMS collections and 200–500+ pages.

I’ve also supported studios behind the scenes on this work—thinking through the narrative, page structure, design, and development, along with how the team will manage the site after launch.

Products that take time to understand

I’ve worked on 15+ AI and SaaS MVPs and proofs of concept across defence, cybersecurity, healthcare, life sciences, finance, Web3, and travel.

I enjoy the learning these projects ask of me. Each domain has its own language, responsibilities, and ways of working. In high-stakes industries, those details matter to the design: what someone needs during onboarding, where they need reassurance or control, and what helps them get value from the product over time. I work with the team to understand those needs and where friction may be contributing to people leaving.

Design systems that carry the decisions forward

I’ve built 10+ design systems, including two supporting 30–40 products for Fortune 100 firms. The work has spanned multiple brands and tenants, with shared components, patterns, and documentation.

I’m interested in how these systems work in practice—whether people can find what they need, understand the reasoning, and build on it. That also shapes how I prepare the context and guidance for teams working with AI.

About Vanya Studio

I founded Vanya Studio in 2025 as an independent solo design practice, bringing together my work across branding, product design, design systems, and websites and decks.

I lead projects from the early conversations through design and delivery, and develop website frontends myself. When a project needs additional expertise, I bring in specialists across copywriting, development, motion, and content marketing, to make sure you get an output that is the best fit to help you achieve your growth and business goals.

You work directly with me throughout. I stay close to the decisions, review the work with everyone involved, and see it through to delivery.

Frequently asked questions

The things people actually ask, answered plainly.

Send me a little about what you’re working on and where you need help. We’ll talk through the project, timing, and budget, and I’ll put together a scope. You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out.

I mostly work with founders and teams in AI, deep-tech, SaaS, and B2B, alongside established businesses and design studios. I enjoy working with people who care about what they’re building and are open to working through the details together.

Yes. I lead every project, and you work with me throughout. When we need a specialist in copywriting, development, motion, or content marketing, I bring them in and stay closely involved. We agree on this as part of the scope.

Yes. I often work alongside internal designers, engineers, and marketing teams, as well as behind the scenes with studios. We work out where I can contribute, what I’ll own, and how we’ll collaborate.

Yes, I develop the frontend myself. I work with Framer, Webflow, Astro, and Next.js, including Sanity and Cloudflare where appropriate—from smaller sites to enterprise websites with hundreds of pages. If the project needs specialist development, I bring in the right people and review the work through delivery.

That’s part of the work. I help shape the narrative—who we’re speaking to, what matters to them, and what we want them to take away. I bring in a copywriting expert to develop the words and work with them through the design.

Both. We can work towards a defined scope or set aside time each month for ongoing design support. It depends on what you need and how your team works.

I work remotely and have collaborated with teams across 15+ countries. We agree on meeting times and how we’ll share feedback at the start.

Yes, if the team and the work feel like a good fit. I currently run Vanya Studio as a solo, independent practitioner, but I’m happy to talk about a role where I can contribute more deeply over time.

The Complexity Gap

You know the product and industry inside out. The people buying or using it bring different levels of knowledge and experience. The work is in making that complexity manageable throughout the product—helping beginners get started, supporting people as their needs grow, and giving experts the depth and control they need.

The Retention Gap

Getting someone to try a product is one thing. Becoming part of their day-to-day workflow is another. That comes down to how well it helps them do their job—how naturally it fits into their work, how much easier it makes important tasks, and whether it gives them a reason to keep using it.

The Growth Gap

The business moves forward, but the experience doesn’t always keep up. The story reflects an earlier stage, the website struggles with new content, and the product feels different depending on where you are. Growth, engineering, business, and design teams spend more time explaining, fixing, and working around the gaps. It gets frustrating for everyone.
